The main objective of the Chemistry Department is to educate students as chemists capable of conducting research and development studies in chemical and related industries as well as analytical work required for quality control in analytical laboratories. The department aims particularly at equipping students with knowledge and practical skills for the fundamental research essential for technological progress in our modern world. B.S. candidates in chemistry must follow a four year program as prescribed below. The students are required to complete a summer practice in industry after their third year. Our B.S. graduates can also enroll to the interdisciplinary graduate programs in Polymer Science and Technology (PST), Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Archeometry.
